My 1912 home does not have doors on its closets and I'm wondering if that is typical. the house has been renovated but it doesn't look like there ever were doors on the present closets. Were curtains usually hung over the opening?

Thanks!

Marilyn:  you should be thankful you actually have closets!!!!  But yes, curtains were hung on the closets.  Of the very few closets I possess in my home, curtains hang on every one of them, no doors, and the openings are very small --- I would probably have to make doors if I wanted them.  To keep it simple, I have hung simple white linen tabtop panels on all of my closets.
