I am doing a project on architectural motifs. What, to you, is the/a quintessential Arts and Crafts motif?

the square

the ginko leaf

The dragonfly and the ginkgo leaf are considered arts and crafts motifs...also there is a Scottish rose pattern and I suppose that most of the patterns used by William Morris would qualify as well.

The Macintosh Rose

We have a few staple tile accents that we sell; oak leaves, acorns, pinecones and a dragonfly. I would say the dragonfly sells the best, though I think if we had a ginko leaf (soon to come!) It would probably give it a run for its money.
